Introduction to Printmaking
Saturday, September 23
9 am to 4 pm
$150 (Includes all materials)
Learn the basics of relief printmaking in this intensive workshop at Wilder Hill Press amid the beautiful landscape of Wilder Hill Gardens. Design and carve a plate, before printing your own limited series of images with non-toxic Akua inks. We will cover ghost printing, reduction printmaking, and selective inking as ways to introduce color into your images. No experience is required.
Cyanotype Printing and Bookmaking Workshop
Saturday, October 7, 9 am to 4 pm
$160 (printouts and all materials included)
Learn two important, fun techniques in one workshop! First, we will explore the historical process of Cyanotype printing to produce gorgeous, Prussian blue images. After creating a mock-up of your books, we will fashion your images into two significant book types; a Codex and an Accordion. The addition of text, collage, threading, additional toning, or color are all possibilities. We will learn about bookmaking papers, cover material, bindings, and much more. A variety of handmade books will be on display in the studio.
Drop in anytime between 10:00 and 4:00 to learn the traditional art of wreath-making. Use fresh, mixed greens from Wilder Hill Gardens to craft beautiful wreaths, swags, and garlands. Materials will be provided, but feel free to bring any embellishments you'd like to add. Instruction included. Mixed bundles of greenery will be available for your planters and home decorating.
Enjoy a glass of hot, mulled cider by the fire, and view the stupas and the 12 ft. long porcelain mosaic.
Shop for original prints, pottery, herbal hydrosols, dried Asian pears, and hand-bound books by Wilder Hill Press.

The 2022 Wreath Making Workshop was so much fun, and well attended on both days. Everyone made a beautiful wreath from WHG fresh mixed greenery and berries. There were cookies and hot drinks too.
